The Company is incorporated with articles of Continuance issued under the Canada Business Corporations Act in 1979 at which time the name was changed to MRRM Inc. The Company was originally founded by Mr. Robert Reford in 1882 as Mount Royal Milling and Manufacturing Company. In 1946 the Company made its initial public offering and its name was changed to Mount Royal Rice Mills Limited. At the time of Continuance (July 1979) there were 16,501 preferred shares and 253,500 common shares outstanding. By 1987 the preferred shares were fully redeemed. Effective July 18, 2003 the common shares were split on a ten (10) for one (1) basis increasing the outstanding number to 2,535,000.

The Company's common shares were transferred from the Montreal Exchange to the Canadian Venture Exchange on October 1, 2001, and trade under the symbol MRR. Trading is now under the TSX-Venture exchange where the Company is listed in the Tier-1 category.

MRRM Inc. is the parent company of MRRM (Canada) Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, with two operating divisions which are engaged in the food industry and ship agency services. The Company also has a portfolio of marketable securities.

Les Aliments DAINTY Foods is the only rice mill in Canada. It has been milling and processing rice for over a century and generates over 90% of the consolidated aggregate revenues of the Company.

The Company is engaged in the ship agency business through Robert Reford. This business was acquired from the Robert Reford Company, Limited on April 1, 1978.
